Kirk lives in Western Springs, Illinois with his wife and three children. His family has been part of the
community since 1993.

In 1988, he received his bachelor's degree in business administration majoring in actuarial science from
the University of Nebraska - Lincoln.

Kirk grew up near West Point, Nebraska where his family operated a cattle feedlot near Pebble Creek.
That is where his core values and solid work ethic were formed and where he attended Pebble Valley
Catholic grade school; the area being the inspiration for the company name.
